My New Podcast and Hiring in December

The Corporate Pizza Party Podcast is Here!
It’s been about a month since I’ve gotten a newsletter out, but that is because I have been working on a special project with some friends who you may know!
I am excited to say that the Corporate Pizza Party Podcast is here with 3 episodes today and a new episode every Monday!
The CPP Podcast will be a brief weekly look at the highs and lows of Corporate America from 3 people who have been inside for a long time.
Check out our first 3 Episodes on Spotify, Apple , or listen on our website
We are also giving away 15 hours of free 1 on 1 coaching for our launch!
Don’t give up on Finding a job in December
As the holiday season approaches, many job seekers may be tempted to hit pause on their search, assuming that hiring activities wind down. However, the end of the year can be a strategic time to advance your career in unexpected ways. Here are a few reasons to not give up just because the year is winding down and a few things you can try during a somewhat slower period.
Reduced Competition, Increased Visibility: With some candidates taking a break, the pool of active job seekers tends to decrease during December. This creates a unique opportunity for your application to stand out. Recruiters may have more time to review resumes, and your chances of being noticed can significantly increase.
Budget Surplus for New Hires: Many companies have end-of-year budgets allocated for hiring, and they may be looking to fill positions before the new year begins. There may be less roles open in December than in other months, but the roles that are open are generally moving fast!
Reflect and Refine Your Goals: Not to be too cheesy, but the end of the year is an ideal time for self-reflection. Use this period to assess your job search up to this point, update your resume, and refine your strategy if needed. On my own search last year I kicked January off with a great post highlighting some of my strengths on LinkedIn and felt like I had gotten a fresh start in my search. (I was hired 1 month later)
Stay Top of Mind for January Hiring: While some companies may delay hiring decisions until January, engaging with employers now can keep you top of mind when they resume their recruitment activities. Send thoughtful holiday greetings or express your interest in a casual follow-up email. This may be a bit of extra work, but sometimes the extra work when everyone else is taking a break can matter.
Some Final Thoughts
I know the newsletter has been a bit inconsistent, but I do hope you have been getting some use out of my regular content on TikTok and Instagram
The Podcast has taken a lot of my time to get off the ground, but I still love being able to write to you. It would mean a lot to me if you would support the Corporate Pizza Party Pod and follow us on TikTok and Instagram as well
Let me know your thoughts on the pod (beyond the sound quality that I will continue to work on overtime…I’m new to this)!
